MCLE Programs
Members keep up-to-date about the latest practice-area developments, technological innovations and trends, and law practice management. Speakers are experts on the topics presented. MCLE is offered in a variety of formats to allow members maximum flexibility: in-person, live-streamed, pre-recorded, and interactive-online are some of the ways members can access SJCBA MCLE offerings, including topical roundtable discussions, expert panels, and more.

MCLE Compliance Groups
Attorneys assigned to a compliance group will always remain in that group, even if they change their last name.
- Attorneys admitted on or before Feb. 1, 1992 were assigned to a compliance group based on the first letter of their last name, as listed on their official State Bar records, effective Feb. 1, 1992 (the beginning of the MCLE program).
- Attorneys admitted after Feb. 1, 1992 are assigned to a compliance group based on the first letter of the last name listed on their admit cards. Admit cards are filled out when they are sworn in.
Group 1 (A-G):
Last names beginning with A-G.
Compliance period: 2/1/2022 - 3/29/2025
Deadline to report: March 29, 2025
Group 2 (H-M):
Last names beginning with H-M.
Compliance period: 2/1/2024 - 3/29/2027
Deadline to report: March 30, 2027
Group 3 (N-Z):
Last names beginning with N-Z.
Compliance period: 2/1/2023 - 3/29/2026
Deadline to report: March 30, 2026

85th Annual Meeting & State of the Court - November 5, 2025 | The SJCBA Annual Meeting is a key event where members come together to reflect on the past year’s accomplishments and receive important updates and announcements for the year ahead. The meeting features valuable networking opportunities, lunch, and the keynote State of the Court address delivered by the Presiding Judge of the San Joaquin County Superior Court. Annual award recipients are announced, new board officers and leadership are welcomed, and outgoing board members are recognized for their dedicated service.
