In observance of Juneteenth, the San Joaquin County Bar Association (SJCBA) will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026. We will resume regular business hours on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Reflection and Community

Juneteenth marks a profound moment in our nation’s history—the emancipation of enslaved People in the United States. As an organization, we join our community in honoring this historic day of freedom.

For the legal community, Juneteenth is also a vital reminder of our shared responsibility. It calls on us to reflect on the work that still lies ahead and to recommit ourselves to the ongoing pursuit of equity, liberty, and justice for all members of our community.

Learn More About Juneteenth

We encourage our members, partners, and community to use this day for education, reflection, and connection. If you would like to explore the history, significance, and legacy of this holiday, you can find comprehensive resources and historical archives through the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Please Note: While our physical and virtual offices will be closed on June 19, you can still access our online member portal and resources at any time. We look forward to serving you when we reopen on Monday.
