The mission of the Paralegal Section of the San Joaquin County Bar Association is to strengthen the professionalism and reputation of paralegals and legal professionals in the legal community.

Our goal is to foster the highest level of personal and professional integrity and promote respect and confidence in our profession.

Description

The Paralegal Section is open to all SJCBA members with interest in paralegal employment and training in the operation of law practices. The Section periodically sponsors MCLE courses on legal, office management, and other similar issues. You can join the section by paying your section dues together with your annual SJCBA dues. The Executive Committee normally meets on the 3rd Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. or Noon at the Bar offices and will often be followed by Brown Bag Round Tables or MCLE programs on subjects of interest to both paralegals and attorneyst. See the Calendar for more information.

If you are a paralegal, immigration consultant, legal document preparer, legal assistant, investigator, legal secretary or whatever other title is applied to you and have an interest in activities and MCLE with other like minded people, please e-mail the Section Chair above and give us your contact information.

To be a part of the Section you must be a SJCBA member, so download and application and join now. You will also need to review the Paralegal Code of Ethics and download and complete the Section Membership Application.

To attend Paralegal Section MCLE, you do NOT have to be a member, but will pay the non-member rate. If you join, you may save enough paying the Member Rate to cover your annual dues.
