SJCBA maintains a Resume Bank for SJCBA members who are freelance Secretaries and/or Paralegals.

If you're a secretary or paralegal seeking contract work, you can e-mail your resume as a pdf to Linda Mussat at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to be included in the file. No other format will be accepted. If you need to make a pdf of the file, you can download free software from the web that will convert most word processing files to a pdf.

Be sure to include:

  • Contact information
  • Work, educational experience, and/or certification/degrees
  • Any special skills (i.e. shorthand, Notary, etc.)

Please also include a short summary of your interest that can be provided to attorneys seeking help, also as a pdf. This summary should include:

  • The area of law as a title
  • The hours you're available
  • The areas of law in which you are skilled or want to work
  • How much notice you need

For example:

Estate Planning Paralegal

Experienced paralegal in all areas of the law seeking contract work in estate planning; can work weekday mornings from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m.

or...

Transactional Secretary

Experienced legal secretary seeking transactional work; have prepared contracts, purchase & sale agreements; marital dissolution settlements; available weekday afternoons from noon to 4:30 p.m.

Do NOT include your Social Security Number or a photograph. Resumes will be retained for the calendar year, so calendar submission of an updated resume for each January.
